ETA and TUV Rheinland held a strategic cooperation signing ceremony.

On May 15, 2017, ETA and TUV Rheinland held a strategic cooperation signing ceremony. Announced in-depth cooperation in areas such as automotive electronic and electrical components, household electrical appliance components, new energy and information technology components and components, and Internet of Things(IoT)-related products.

The continuous improvement of consumers' information security awareness, the strengthening of laws and regulations at the national level, and the strengthening of supervision have all raised higher requirements for corporate security protection capabilities. This time TÜV Rheinland and ETA will combine the strengths and experience of the two parties in their respective fields to actively promote the standard research, testing and certification services for home appliance parts products and automotive electronic appliances parts products, and continue to tap new energy and information technology Testing and certification of components and components in the field, as well as related opportunities for cooperation with IoT products, to help relevant industries and enterprises meet legal and regulatory requirements and provide customers with more value-added services for testing and certification.

At present, China's home appliance parts industry has formulated a series of product standards, but there are incomplete universal standards that reflect the essential characteristics of reliability, comfort, environmental protection, and testing of home appliance parts. Standards are lacking; standards in some categories are poorly harmonized, and the market adoption rate is low. It is the most important task to sort out the current situation of home appliance parts, and to study the standardization of home appliance parts, the standard system, and various standards. With regard to automotive electronic and electrical component products, with the rapid expansion of the domestic automobile market, the gradual localization of parts and components of joint venture models, and the continuous development of overseas markets, the demand for testing of such products is also increasing.

At the same time, with the rapid development and continuous evolution of Internet technology, the era of the IoT has arrived. However, mature business models are still lacking, standards systems, especially cross-industry standards, have yet to be formulated and improved, and the network and information security situation is becoming increasingly severe. To this end, TÜV Rheinland invested and established the first IoT technology evaluation center in Greater China in Shenzhen. It was officially put into use in October this year. And other industries provide one-stop testing and certification services.
